Northumberland school celebrates pupils' writing success
Talented students have been celebrating success in a writing competition.
Ringway Primary School, in Guidepost, took part in Northumberland County Council competition to celebrate ‘International Women’s Day’.
Pupils wrote a short story involving a fictitious inspirational female character with Year 4 students, Vinney-Lee and Oscar named winner and runner-up.
A second task was to scribe a poem relating to Inspirational Women saw Year 6 student Jack named runner up.
They won £400 for the school to be used to improve the library. The winner also won a £25 Waterstones voucher and the runners up received a £20 voucher.
