Health trust holding virtual open day
A trust is holding a virtual open day to showcase opportunities at its Secure Care Services.
Cumbria, Northumberland Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust (CNTW) is holding the event on May 6, at 1pm.
The virtual open days will give attendees the chance to interact with staff from a range of specialities and ask any questions.
The Trust is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated applicants to join the services, which are undergoing an exciting expansion and redevelopment.
Secure Care Services provide inpatient and community care to patients on the learning disability and mental health pathway.
They provide assessment and treatment for men who have a mental illness, learning disability or personality disorder and who may have come into conflict with the law and/or are thought to be a risk to others or themselves.
Helen Goudie, Nurse Consultant in Secure Care Services at CNTW, said: “There couldn’t be a better time to join as services develop.
“Secure Care is a great place to work, it can be challenging but it’s also extremely rewarding.
"The growth of the services allows us to provide ongoing safe, effective care to our patients, supporting recovery and allowing carers to be fully involved in the recovery of their loved ones.
“We would encourage anyone interested to join one of our virtual open days and they could come and work in a caring and supportive environment.”
The redevelopment of Secure Care Services includes the creation of an integrated mental health and learning disability secure services centre of excellence at the Trust’s Northgate Hospital site in Morpeth.
