Young singers have been inspired by their own success and the talent of others after winning a music festival.
Students from the Primary Years Bede Academy in Blyth, took the winners’ trophy at the Wansbeck Music Festival, in which four other choirs took part.
The 33-strong Bede choir performed two songs - Beauty and the Beast and I Can See Clearly Now – and a hymn, which was their own version of We Plough the Fields.
The competition, for children in Years 3-6, took place at the Northumberland Church of England Academy in Ashington.
Primary music lead at Bede Academy David Tallent said: “The choir were a credit to the Academy in that they conducted themselves as seasoned professionals from the moment they left school.”
