NON traditional artists are being offered a unique chance to exhibit their work at an Ashington museum.

Woodhorn Museum has teamed up with Outside In to offer people who normally feel excluded from mainstream arts the chance to take part in four surgery days, where artists will be given support to create their own online gallery.

A selection of artworks will be chosen to be included in the exhibition at Woodhorn Museum between March and June 2013.

The surgeries will take place on Wednesday, May 23, from 10am to 1pm at Woodhorn, Ashington, and 2.15pm to 5.15pm, at the BALTIC, Gateshead, and on Thursday, May 24, from 10am to 1pm at the Northern Gallery for Contemporary Art (NGCA), Sunderland, and 2.15pm to 5.15pm, at MIMA in Middlesbrough.
