Chance to get to know cast of musical

THE story of a British governess hired to teach the king of Siam’s children will be staged in Blyth this month.

The Phoenix Theatre Company will present The King and I, by Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein, from Monday, September 12, to Saturday, September 17, at 7.15pm daily.

The score of the 1951 musical, based on Margaret Landon’s 1944 novel Anna and the King of Siam, includes the songs the March of the Siamese Children, Shall We Dance, I Whistle a Happy Tune, Hello Young Lovers and the Getting to Know You.

Tickets are priced at £17 or £10.50 for concessions, and are available by calling the box office on (01670) 367228.
