Actress Rebecca Currie will fulfil a long held ambition when she steps on to the stage in the role of Nancy in the Blyth Music and Theatre Company’s production of Oliver! at the Phoenix Theatre next month.

Twenty-six-year-old Rebecca, from Whitley Bay, first appeared on stage at the age of ten playing Annie in the musical of the same name for the Blyth Music and Theatre Company.

She went on to appear in six more of the company’s productions before studying for a first class honours degree in musical theatre.

Rebecca is now looking forward to playing the ill-fated Nancy, a role she has always dreamed of with the whole company in Oliver! at the Phoenix Theatre in Blyth, from March 10 to March 14.
