A special charity night is being held this weekend to raise awareness of speech and language therapy.
An entertainment evening will be held at Ashington Football Club on Satrday, June 7, from 7.30pm until 10.30pm, to raise funds for the North East Trust for Aphasia, which supports individuals with communication difficulties following a stroke or brain injury.
Comic Lee Ridley, aka the Lost Voice Guy, will be performing a preview of his Edinburgh Fringe show at the event.
The night is hosted by Steffen Peddie from BBC 2s sitcom Hebburn, and there will also be live music, raffle and tombola.
Tickets are priced at £5 and are available at www.lostvoiceguyashington.ticketsource.co.uk and includes entry into a prize draw on the night.
