The tale of an ordinary woman who walks a tightrope wire of dreams and realities is coming to the county this weekend.
And anyone who brings a Rachel to The Life and Loves of a Nobody at Seaton Delaval Arts Centre this Sunday, will get a half price ticket.
The production, from Third Angel and Sheffield Theatres, is touring the region this month as part of the REACH project (funded by Arts Council England), and the show will be performed at the Arts Centre this Sunday at 7pm.
The play follows young and eager fame-hunter Rachel, an ordinary woman who walks a tightrope wire of dreams and realities, exploring the differences between the future we want to create and the legacy that we leave behind.
Rachel always wanted to be a star, to run away with the circus and have her name in lights.
She knows life is a juggling act and love is a highwire, and if you try to do both at once it’s a long way down.
This visually stunning show addresses the idea of destiny, celebrity, beauty and fame, and asks the question: how far will someone go to achieve their dreams, and at what cost?
And Seaton Delaval Arts Centre want as many Rachel’s in the audience as possible.
Using the hashtag #BringRachel they will spread the word via social media and are offering half price tickets to any group who bring a Rachel along to the show.
If your name is Rachel (or you know one) simply visit www.seatondelavalartscentre.com and click on the booking link for The Life and Loves of a Nobody.
