With another school holiday just around the corner, staff at Woodhorn are busy preparing a packed programme of activities to keep the whole family entertained and engaged.
Every day from Saturday, May 25, to Sunday, June 2, there will be free half hour long guided tours around the former colliery site especially prepared for families.
Tours will take place at 11am, 1pm and 3pm, and at 2pm each day there will also be a free bug hunt when youngsters can get close to nature and discover some of the smaller creepy crawlies and insects at Woodhorn.
Craft activities will have a pirate theme, and young visitors can create their own pirate hat between noon and 3pm every day.
There will also be a Local Studies book sale between 11am and 3pm on Thursday.
