Young members of a Rainbows group from Cowpen enjoyed a day out in Blyth’s Ridley Park.
Despite a damp start to the day, by the time the group arrived the sun was out.
“We had a wet weather plan, but an indoor meeting at the park is just not the same,” said group leader Margaret Minter.
“Rainbows just love to be out and about and the trip to the park with its attractions had been greatly looked forward to.
“The Rainbow programme, for girls aged five to seven, aims at developing self-confidence, building friendships and trying new things. All of these were achieved by the Rainbows while visiting the park and having lots of fun.”
