Fortunately, dog-friendly holiday provider Canine Cottages has crunched the TripAdvisor data to find the most dog-friendly places to go in Northumberland

Based on the percentage of reviews on TripAdvisor suggesting a place was dog-friendly, they found the most dog-friendly beaches, places to visit, pubs and cafes across the county, which can also be found in this handy interactive map.

Beadnell is the number one rated dog-friendly beach.

Alnmouth beach is ranked second.
St Aidan's at Seahouses is the number three rated dog-friendly beach.

Embleton is the number five rated dog-friendly beach.
Newton by the sea is the number six rated dog-friendly beach.
Cocklawburn is the number seven rated dog-friendly beach.
Blyth beach is next on the list.
