People wanting to learn new skills are being encouraged to try their hand at making a proggy mat at Blyth Library this month.
Starting on Thursday, April 23, the seven-week taster course is aimed at anyone over the age of 50, and is a good opportunity to learn a new skill and meet new friends.
A tutor provided by Blyth Resource and Initiative Centre (BRIC) will be teaching proggy mat making techniques in a small, friendly class.
The course will run at Blyth Library until Thursday, June 4, from 10am until noon, and will be free to attend.
Places are limited and must be booked in advance by contacting (BRIC) on (01670) 353817.
Participants must be able to attend all of the classes.
