A wildlife charity is celebrating after being awarded a further £76,000 from players of the People’s Postcode Lottery.

So far, the Northumberland Wildlife Trust has received a staggering £470,940 in funding, which it says has had a huge impact on its conservation work.

Chris Packham, naturalist, broadcaster and patron of Northumberland Wildlife Trust, said: “I would like to say a massive, a huge and a gargantuan thanks to players of People’s Postcode Lottery for giving so generously to our projects in these tough times.

“The funding is helping us protect the wildlife in Northumberland, educate the young and old alike and helping us ensure the 21st century is a better place for everything to be in Northumberland.”
