The Harbour View in Seaton Sluice opened its doors especially for a Macmillan Cancer Support fund-raising evening.

More than 50 people turned up and bosses donated their entire takings from the evening to support the charity.

A raffle with prizes donated by local businesses, including hampers and a watch presented by J Herron Jewellers of Blyth, helped the evening’s total reach £1,597.

Other in-kind support was received from Rose Potatoes and Collins Seafood, who also contributed towards the evening’s event.

Macmillan Cancer Support volunteer Olwyn Sheldon said: “We really appreciate the support of the Harbour View and thank everyone for contributing.”
