A sporting effort by all at charity golf day

Recently, our group called Toontotown, held its first ever charity golf day at Bedlingtonshire Golf Club.

The nominated charity was Help For Heroes and this golf day was part of the summer of fundraising we are having for this and other worthy charities.

In total, 81 golfers took part in the event.

And congratulations go to the winners, Gary Richardson and Andy Sheldon.

But the real winners were Help for Heroes, as due to the generosity of the players and also the members of Bedlingtonshire Golf Club, we were able to raise £1,000 for the charity.

On behalf of the Toontotown group, can I thank all who participated and donated to this cause and a very special thanks to John Laverick and the staff at Bedlingtonshire Golf Club for providing the players with the excellent facilities both on and off the course.

This now means that we have raised nearly £5,000 this year alone, and we will continue to fundraise throughout the summer before our main event of a week long triathlon in September.
