Acts ready for talent show final

THE top acts from across the county are preparing to take part in the finals of Northumberland’s Got Talent next weekend.

Auditions were held recently at St Benet Biscop High School in Bedlington for the county-wide talent show.

Organised by Northumberland Catholic Extended Services Partnership (NCESP), more than 20 acts have made it through to the semi-finals.

The selection of artists chosen to take part in the finals include the youngest contestant, seven-year-old Alfie Bond, from Cramlington.

The overall winner will be chosen on the day by a special panel of judges and will get to perform professionally as part of the annual celebration at United 2; Celebrating Diversity, which is taking place at Newcastle City Hall on Thursday, July 7.

The final will take place on Saturday, July 2, at The Ultra Fusion Family Festival at Druridge Bay between 10.30am and 4pm.

At the festival there will also be outdoor pursuits, canoeing, sailing, pony rides, fairground rides, a barbecue and more.
