Air rifles taken in Ashington burglary

Three air rifles have been stolen from an address in Ashington.

Police are appealing for information after the three air rifles and three bikes were taken from the shed of a rear yard in Hawthorn Road, between 5pm on Friday, January 2, and 10am on Saturday, January 3.

Two are adult grey coloured Carrera Vengeance mountain bikes. One has grey rubber hand grips with red clips on the end and the other has bright green rubber hand grips. The other bike is a bronze coloured Mongoose R70 Scan BMX model. It has the frame number SNATB14J0115 on it.

The three .22 air rifles are all in individual cases and two are black and brown, older models, with black coloured sights on top.

The third is an ‘Air Arms 200’ model with a black ‘Stirling’ scope on top. It has a brown wooden hand crafted stock with a black rubber butt and a silver handmade silencer fitted on the end.

Enquiries are ongoing into the burglary and police are appealing for anyone with any information into the incident, or as to the whereabouts of the stolen items, to contact them on 101 ext 69191 quoting reference number 299 03/01/14.
