Blyth Town Fair returns this weekend with two days of fantastic family fun on offer.

Attractions will be in the town centre on Saturday and Sundat from 10am to 4pm.

Organised by Blyth Town Council, the weekend is expected to draw thousands of visitors to the town.

There will be a funfair in the market place from the Friday through to the Monday, along with other attractions.

The upbeat mood of the weekend will be driven by Koast Radio, which will be broadcasting live from the trailer stage on the Saturday, with Larger than Life host Matt Lee Alliston on Sunday.

Over the Saturday and Sunday there will be a wide variety of family entertainment including circus workshops, Punch and Judy, Divide and Conquer laser quest, Smurf the miniature pony, infusion zumba, face-painting, Wild Harmony Bush Craft, the Empire School of Boxing, Animalgique petting zoo and community stalls.

Local band Life After Alice will close Saturday’s activities with a live set.

There will also be visits by Hello Kitty, Ben 10 and Mickey and Mini Mouse, and super creative arts and crafts workshops with Headway Arts.

Times of each activity and attraction will be on display in the market place.

Blyth Town Council is working in partnership with Northumberland County Council’s local services team to bring community events to the market place and hope that the attractions will bring the town centre to life for regular shoppers and new visitors to the town.

The town council is keen that this partnership approach will continue to develop relationships with residents, local business, the county council and local market traders to take the town forward in a positive manner.
