An electronics company has achieved a prestigious health award.
Lintron Electronics’ Ashington branch has been awarded Ambassador Status in the Better Health at Work Award (BHAWA).
It recognises the business’ dedication to health and wellbeing, both for staff and the surrounding community.
Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust health improvement specialist Steven Chater, who supports businesses in Northumberland to achieve the award, was on hand for the presentation.
Steven said: “Lintron Electronics has shown a fantastic commitment to employee health and wellbeing.
“It has engaged with a large proportion of its workforce through a combination of strategy and policy development, as well as fun, interactive campaigns and training sessions.
“Lintron has carried out innovative initiatives focusing on a broad range of topics supporting and promoting the health and wellbeing of its staff and embedding a positive, healthy culture in its workplace.
“In addition, it is always willing and keen to share good practice with other organisations.
“I am delighted that its dedication has been recognised with this achievement.”
Les Cranson, lead health advocate for Lintron Electronics’ Ashington branch, said: “At Lintron Electronics the health and wellbeing of our staff is a priority for us and we are always looking for new ways to support our staff and their families.”
