An Ashington man has been jailed for three years for drugs offences.
Andrew Davies, 23, of Alexandra Road, pleaded guilty to supplying the Class A drug cocaine, and other drugs offences, when he appeared at Newcastle Crown Court.
He also admitted supplying a class B drug, offering to supply crack cocaine and cannabis, and failure to comply with a suspended imprisonment order during the court appearance.
Davies was arrested in October when police executed a series of warrants at addresses in Ashington as part of Operation Community Pride, launched following concerns were raised by local residents.
Neighbourhood Inspector Dave Harris said: "We're pleased with the sentence handed down by the court. It is clear they take this type of offending very seriously.
"This should send a clear message to others who take part in the illegal drugs trade - you are in our sights and we will take action against anyone who causes misery in our communities.
"The work of Operation Community Pride is continuing and anyone with concerns about illegal or anti-social activity in Ashington is urged to contact police."
Anyone with concerns about drug dealing in their neighbourhood should contact police on 101, or via the Northumbria Police website, www.northumbria.police.uk
