A Northumberland museum is preparing for its own big day to show off its wedding facilities.

Would-be brides and grooms are invited to an open day at Woodhorn Museum, near Ashington, between 11am and 3pm on Sunday, to meet the wedding team and find out about the options for their celebrations.

Venue hire manager Nicola Davis said: “The museum, with its wonderful historic buildings and countryside setting, provides a very different venue for a wedding. We have three really flexible and individual spaces for ceremonies and receptions, and at the open day we’ll be able to explain and demonstrate some of the options to potential couples. We can cater for everything from a small, intimate vintage tea party to a full-site-down wedding breakfast for close to 100 guests.”
