Students are being given the chance to get aboard a bus in Ashington and end up in the US, Australia or Malaysia.
To mark the launch of its annual student saver bus tickets, travel firm Arriva is giving one lucky passenger the chance to travel further than they’d ever thought possible by bus.
The Sunderland-based transport firm is giving away a round-the-world trip for two to highlight to students the merits of making travel arrangements in advance.
Anyone buying a student saver ticket before the end of the month will automatically be entered for a contest to win the 18-day holiday, complete with £500 spending money.
Arriva area managing director Nick Knox said: “Whether it’s a students’ union or a sandy beach, your destination is achievable with Arriva.”
“Being a student is all about experiencing new things and opening your horizons, and travelling by bus really can help you make the most of your surroundings, whether you’re new to a city or are simply wanting to make the most of your local area.
“We want to be able to enrich that travel experience by providing affordable, convenient and varied routes that get you where you need to go.
“With this competition, we’re hoping to really open the eyes of people studying throughout the North Eas.”
Arriva offers a range of student saver tickets offering unlimited travel within defined academic periods, including term tickets and annual season passes.
