TEENAGERS at Ashington High School have cause for celebration after excelling in their GCSE exams.
Among those celebrating was Caitlin Morris, who achieved an A* in English language and additional science; an A in English literature, geography and history; a B in religious studies and a C in French,
She said: “I am feeling ecstatic.
“The results are so much better than I expected.
“My family and friends are really pleased for me.”
Meanwhile, fellow student Jack Davenport was also thrilled with his results, after gaining an A in product design, geography and additional science, a B in English language, literature and religious studies and a Distinction* in performing arts and IT.
“I have not really been that nervous about it,” he said.
“But this morning as I was walking to school I could not have been more frightened.
“I am really happy with what I have got.”
Both students will be carrying on with their studies in sixth form.
