ATTACK: Young man saved dog

On Friday, October 21, at about 4.30pm, I was on Blyth beach with my dog, opposite the prom, when a Staffie started attacking my dog on his lead.

I was on my own and felt helpless, and was screaming.

A young man came to my aid and scooped my dog up, with the Staffie jumping up, still after my dog.

His owner appeared and put him on his lead. He didn’t apologise, just criticised.

I was really shook up and upset.

I can’t thank this young man enough as I think if he hadn’t come to my aid, I wouldn’t have my dog today.

Also, thanks to Roselyn who came to see if I was alright, Joan, also David, and the cyclist who let me use his mobile to call my husband to come and collect me.

Why can’t people be more courteous and give more thought to other dog owners?
