TWO lovable pups from Blyth have been crowned top dogs in a national competition.

Beagles Foxi and Rafi have won the category for dogs in a competition run by La Senza, and their prize will be having their photo featured on a range of pyjamas being produced by the lingerie retailer.

Melanie Arkle, 39, of Blyth, is the proud owner of the picture-perfect pups.

She said: “I entered La Senza’s Pets on Pyjamas competition because I think beagles are cute, and I always buy my pyjamas from La Senza.

“I knew Foxi and Rafi would look great on them.

“It’s amazing that they have won the competition.”

The competition attracted more than 500 entries from across the animal kingdom, including cats and gerbils.

The pyjamas featuring the winners will be available in La Senza stores from May next year.

A spokesperson for the chain said: “Foxi and Rafi were our top dogs. They are absolutely gorgeous.

“Their head-to-head pose really raised the bar for the other contestants.”

“We think they have the real ‘aww factor’ that the La Senza ladies will love.”
