Bedlington youngsters shoot it out on laser battlefield
Almost 30 students from Bedlington were given the chance to shoot it out at a laser tag venue as part of their studies.
The Bedlingtonshire Community High School pupils were treated to a trip to Battlezone Laser at Gateshead’s Team Valley to take part in over an hour’s worth of covert combat-type missions and all-out urban laser gunfights.
Some 28 Year 10 and 11 creative media students from the Palace Road school took part.
Information and communications technology teacher Claire Crawford said: “It was an effective and engaging way to introduce students to the genres, platforms and roles of the digital media sector of gaming before we start to design our own digital games.
“This is definitely a trip that we will be making again with future students.”
