A new trust will manage all leisure, culture and arts services in the county from next month.
Leisure trust Active Northumberland will formally take over leisure services from 1Life Management Solutions and Northumberland County Council in Ponteland and Morpeth from 1Life to on December 15.
This will be the culmination of an extensive process that has seen 1Life support the council in establishing a new leisure and cultural strategy for the authority.
For customers there will be some changes around booking arrangements and centre memberships, but most other charges will remain the same.
There will be a wider review of charges and memberships taking place between December and April, as a result of the integration of all the facilities.
Managing director of 1Life, Neil King, said: “We have worked closely with the council to ensure that the transfer is as smooth as possible for all involved.
“We would like to thank both the staff and the customers for supporting us over the last 14 years and wish Active Northumberland every success in the future.”
Any customers who have any questions about their membership or anything else concerning the leisure services can call (01670) 624759 or email email@example.com
