It was provided by The Discovery Foundation, supported by Santander, which offers grants for community schemes.

The charity provides information, advice, training and support to volunteers and community groups. This donation will go towards an employee’s salary to oversee the Seeds to Success initiative.

Anne Lyall, CEO at Northumberland CVA, said: “This grant will help our volunteers to gain transferable skills in horticulture, improve their health and well-being and build self-confidence and motivation towards employment.”
