Book a place on board

Fun at the library.
Fun at the library.

Libraries are heading for the high seas as part of free half-term fun for youngsters.

Children at Cramlington and Seaton Sluice libraries can set sail with a band of pirates next month.

It’s part of a series of free books and arts workshops for children aged five and over offered by Northumberland Libraries, in conjunction with Hexham Book Festival.

At Cramlington and Seaton Sluice, youngsters can set sail with the pirates who love underpants in their quest for the golden pants on Wednesday, February 14. The pirates will be needing a map and compass for the search, and that’s where the young library-goers come in.

Artist Louisa Jackson will be on hand to help children with their designs and keep everything ship shape.

There’s a host of other events taking place in libraries during half-term week.
