Owners of a breed attributed to a Northumberland town are to gather for a special charity event.

Bedlington Terriers and their owners will gather at Bedlington Terriers Football Club on Sunday, June 7, to raise money for the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation.

It will be the second year the event has taken place.

Organiser Peter Arris said: “Last year we had 83 Bedlington Terriers and their owners.

“We raised more than £800 last year on the day with people travelling from Wales to be with us.

“It was a fantastic day for a great cause, and hopefully every year we can get bigger and bigger once again.”

Everyone is welcome, and entrance is £5 per family.

There will be various fun day activities with raffles being held to help support the fundraising cause.

Pet owners are being asked to meet at the home of Bedlington Terriers FC, Dr Pit Welfare Park, in the town on the day.
