Youngsters from a south east Northumberland Brownie unit have taken part in a sponsored bike ride.
As part of their ‘Big Brownie Birthday Challenge’, which has been taking place throughout the year, brownies from 3rd Cramlington Brownie unit held a sponsored bike ride in aid of Plan UK.
The brownies first learnt about bike safety and then set off on a 4.5-mile ride around the cycle paths in the area.
Judith Howard, from the unit, said: “Plan UK is one of the largest child centred community development organisations in the world.
“They work with the world’s poorest children so they can move from a life of poverty to a future of opportunity, and the girls are delighted to have sent a cheque to this worthy organisation for a total of £200.”
