Building work is not the problem

I WRITE in regard the article from the headmaster of Cleaswell Hill School (News Post Leader, January 12).

The residents of School Avenue have never had an issue with the school undergoing any building work as the traffic from such activity does not affect the parking in the street.

The only issues the residents have is the traffic from taxis and buses going to and from the school and cars from the school parking in the street, sometimes blocking residents’ driveways.

We feel if there is any emergency in the street the emergency services would not be able to access the properties.

Most of the residents have lived there for more than 20 years and always had a good relationship with staff, attending fairs and activities the school held.

We feel we have been misunderstood and unfairly judged as no mention of building work has ever been stated in our complaints about parking.
