A long-serving north east advice service is on a recruitment drive for two new members.
Northumbrian Citizens’ Advice Bureau is seeking additional members for its Trustee Board.
And it would particularly welcome applications from people with a good understanding of the communities in south east Northumberland.
The service promotes people’s rights and responsibilities, and offers advice in a variety of fields, such as welfare benefits, housing, employment and money matters.
It also uses client-based evidence to lobby for changes in the policy and practices of public and private bodies.
Applicants for the board should have a background in business, charitable or community work, or public service.
They should also have an interest in personnel management and supporting staff and volunteers, the voluntary sector, particularly in relation to advice services, and financial management.
Experience of influencing public funding bodies, liaising with local authorities, legal matters and public relations is also desirable.
Anyone wishing to find out more about the role can arrange an informal telephone discussion, or a meeting with a current member of the board.
The closing date for applications is Monday, November 30.
