Annitsford information technology firm the SITS Group has landed a contract with Covéa Insurance, one of the fastest-growing names in its industry.
The cloud computing company, run from an office in Berrymoor Court on Northumberland Business Park, has been given the job of sorting out virtual desktops for 425 of the Berkshire-based insurer’s employees.
SITS Group commercial director Phil Cambers said: “The virtual desktop solution provided to Covéa Insurance means that, in a time of significant growth, they can quickly roll out new users, as well as managing the existing estate, in a much more efficient and secure manner.
“Time is one of the biggest costs in any business, so rolling out virtual desktops means time is better utilised and organisations can make greater use of their highly-skilled IT staff.”
As well as securing a new client in the form of Covéa Insurance, SITS has been helping an old one, North Shields firm Collingwood Business Solutions, upgrade its infrastructure to cope with its growth over recent years.
Mr Cambers said: “The benefits of refreshing should provide Collingwood with faster access to its main line of business applications and an improved disaster recovery policy.
“Clients such as Covéa Insurance and Collingwood are operating in fast-moving, highly-competitive environments. They need to ensure their staff can deal with inquiries in a fast and efficient manner.”
“By taking the time to consider their IT road maps and working strategically with our consultancy team, they are ensuring their competitive edge in a fast-moving marketplace.
“As well as helping these companies provide a better service to their customers and improving security, we also expect them to have a 50 per cent reduction in support calls, which will inevitably result in a lower total cost to own the solution.”
