Arch, The Northumberland Development Company, has signed up to be the headline sponsor of the Northumberland awards scheme that celebrates and recognises business excellence.

The awards, organised by Northeast Press, publisher of the News Post Leader, Morpeth Herald and Northumberland Gazette, and Tweeddale Press, publisher of the Berwick Advertiser, are now in their seventh year.

They encompass 11 different categories: best Business start-up, Apprentice of the year, Employer of the year, best Green business, Export award, Creative Industries award, Innovation award, Leisure award, Large and Small business of the year and Lifetime achievement award.

The winners will be announced at a special celebration dinner at Linden Hall on Thursday, November 20, and entries are now being sought for the competition.
