Packaging equipment supplier GSP UK has rebranded itself as Advance Flow Pack and is planning to launch a recruitment drive.

The decision was made to rename the Ashington firm after the death of co-owner Kevin Donnelly.

Managing director David Crook said: “We talked long and hard about how to move forward, but in the end, it felt right to change our name.”

“Our core team remains the same.”

The North Seaton Industrial Estate firm, formerly based in Blyth, has been installing flow-wrapping and shrink-wrapping gear at bakeries, food-processing plants and other industrial sites throughout the UK for over 10 years.

Advance Flow Pack is also expanding its product range.

As well as selling a full range of flow-wrapping equipment manufactured in Italy, it is introducing a new entry-level range under the Wolf Pack brand intended to appeal particularly to small manufacturers looking to automate some of their processes for the first time.

“We pride ourselves on working closely with customers to design the optimum solution for their needs,” said Mr Crook.

“With Wolf Pack, we will be able to offer products across the board from simple systems to the most sophisticated flow-wrapping solutions.

“We recently employed a new sales manager, who will be focusing on the Wolf Pack range, and if the business grows as expected, we will be looking to take on additional staff in the very near future.”
