Businesses are being offered an insight into the Indian export market.
Construction firm Miller UK entered the challenging market of India five years ago and is now offering to share its knowledge and experience.
Officials are stressing the importance of utilising the experience and support of local bodies such as the NECC to fully understand market approaches and strategies.
Brendan Quill, sales and marketing director for Miller UK, said: “The NECC and UKTI have been vital in helping our company to forge connections with Indian contacts as well as offering ongoing support throughout our entire export journey.
“India is a large and complex market, and I would always advise that businesses make good use of the endless knowledge and connections of chambers and programmes such as Access India offer to fully understand the market they plan to enter.”
Brendan, alongside other representatives from Miller UK, will be attending the free ‘Selling to India’ event hosted by Access India, which aims to help north east companies realise the importance of looking beyond obvious commercial centres towards other regional capitals.
It will take place on Tuesday, March 3, from 8.30am to 1pm at Durham’s Aykley Heads Business Centre.
The event is free to attend and spaces are limited so to register contact firstname.lastname@example.org or call 0845 7688330.
