Businesses are urged to get training

Businesses based in Blyth are being urged to attend free digital introductory workshops run by the iNorthumberland business support team.

The next workshop will run between 1pm and 4pm today, Thursday, March 5, at Blyth Community and Enterprise Centre, Ridley Street.

It will enable businesses to meet with expert advisors to find out about how the current digital age of social media, cloud computing, search engine optimisation and more is affecting everyday business.

The bespoke support programme – delivered by Arch, The Northumberland Development Company – is fully funded and focused on helping businesses to capitalise on online technology in order to manage and grow their business online.

Offering high quality digital training courses, the programme includes one-to-one sessions with experienced business advisers in a workshop setting, access to an online learning portal, focused master classes and financial incentives.

Eligible businesses that complete 12 hours of training will qualify for 12 months of free superfast broadband – worth up to £400 – or will be able to claim back the cost of installation if they already have superfast broadband.
