Buy-out could lead to growth
Ashington company Eastern Seals (UK) has acquired one of the country's leading distributors of hydraulic and pneumatic sealing solutions.
The buy-out of UK Seals and Polymers is expected to pave the way for further growth and development for Eastern Seals and its management team, led by managing director Diane Reach.
This includes expansion into new markets, and further investment in product ranges, international reach and potential future acquisitions.
Ms Reach said: “We have followed the development of UK Seals and Polymers for a while.
“It has a strong product portfolio, and I am delighted that it is now part of Eastern Seals.
“The complementary nature of its products and technologies will enable us to even better serve our customers in the industrial market.
“This new investment demonstrates Eastern Seals’ strength, as well as the ongoing confidence from our customers and suppliers. It also shows our strong commitment to the global market.
“Over the last three years we have seen record levels of turnover.”
Eastern Seals (UK) has rapidly grown into one of the UK’s leading suppliers of O-rings and sealing solutions – the company is the largest seal supplier in the North of the UK.
UK Seals and Polymers will continue to trade under its existing structure. The combined strength of both companies will allow each facility to further develop sales, product ranges and customer service.
