CALLS: Aren't old ways best?
On Monday, September 19 I could call our very good library in Seaton Sluice direct.
By Monday, September 26 a new telephone system was imposed on us with no notice.
Now if I want to speak to the library, on the same number, I am redirected to a call centre in Cramlington.
Don’t we just love call centres?
After waiting and listening to a recorded message saying how valuable my conversation is to Active Northumberland, the nice lass who answered my call could not answer my question.
But she could – wait for it – phone or email Seaton Sluice Library and ask the librarian to contact me.
Old system – phone Seaton Sluice Library and talk to the librarian.
New system – phone Seaton Sluice Library, get redirected to the call centre. The call centre phones Seaton Sluice Library, Seaton Sluice Library then phones me back.
Can Lorraine Dewison, of Active Northumberland, explain to Seaton Sluice Library users how the new system saves time and money?
