Campaign targeting the bullies

This Anti-Bullying Week, we are stepping up our campaign to highlight how many people living with autism have had to endure bullying and hate crime.

Sixty three per cent of young people with autism told us that they have been bullied at school, while 65 per cent of respondents to a recent National Autistic Society survey said they had experienced hate crime more than ten times.

These findings reveal that an alarming number living with autism have been subjected to the worst kind of behaviour and that as a society we are failing some of those who need the most compassion and support.

Bullying anyone, particularly those who are vulnerable is unacceptable.
