The Liberal Democrats have selected their candidate to fight for the Blyth Valley seat at the next General Election.
Philip Latham was elected unanimously by the membership to represent the Liberal Democrats.
Philip is a former teacher and is a school governor.
A trustee of the North of England Refugee Service, he is married with two grown-up children and a grandchild.
He is also a keen apiarist and his bees are his major interest outside politics.
Philip said: “I’m delighted to have been chosen by Blyth Valley Lib Dems to fight the election in May. I’m looking forward to campaigning positively on the issues that matter to the constituency.”
