The Conservative party have selected their candidate who will fight for the Blyth Valley seat at the next General Election.
Members of the Blyth Valley Conservatives attending the selection meeting voted unanimously to adopt Greg Munro as their Prospective Parliamentary Candidate (PPC).
Greg comes from Cramlington where he attended Shanklea First, Parkside Middle and Cramlington High Schools. He has previously stood as a Conservative candidate in Cramlington in local elections.
Greg has previously worked for several prominent MPs both in research and as a caseworker; helping constituents with problems ranging from gaining access to benefit entitlements, resolving disputes with anti-social neighbours and helping people to secure a safe roof over their families’ heads.
Greg trained as a Special Constable with the Police Service and investigated the scourge of human trafficking for a charity.
Greg said: “I am absolutely delighted to have been chosen as the Parliamentary candidate for Blyth Valley.
“It is a real honour and a privilege to be able to fight for the seat in which I was born and raised.”
