Pupils in Cramlington have put their creativity to the test to make a very special delivery.

Youngsters at Eastlea Primary School have been learning all about British values, including finding out about the Queen and royal family.

When they heard that Her Majesty was celebrating her 90th birthday, the children wanted to send their own best wishes so each class designed and made birthday cards.

And now they have been posted to Buckingham Palace.

Deputy headteacher Vicki Coleby said: “The cards were absolutely stunning. All the children have really loved designing and making them. They were so good that we have sent them off to Buckingham Palace.”
