A resident at a care home in Bedlington has celebrated a milestone birthday.
Family members and staff at Chester Court on Choppington Road attended a party to mark Ted Scougall turning 90.
He has been married to his wife Pat for 65 years. They have two daughters, Ann and Joan, five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He worked on farms and the couple lived at Blakemore Farm, Cresswell, Eglingham near Alnwick, Elrington near Haydon Bridge and Hebron near Morpeth before moving to Ashington then Bedlington more recently.
Ted – who used to play rugby for Ashington Rugby Club, his position was full back – has Parkinson’s disease and he has lived at Chester Court since March 2015.
