A south east Northumberland care home joined thousands across the country in opening its doors to celebrate National CareHome Open Day.
The idea behind the day was to encourage people to visit their local care home to develop better relationships between the homes and the community.
The open day at South Bebside care home in Patterdale Road, Cowpen Estate, Blyth, included a coffee morning with a variety of cakes and scones made by staff, a tombola, a raffle and entertainment by singer and saxophonist Kev Archer.
All the money raised during the day will go towards outings and entertainment for the residents.
Care home manager Steve Dunn said: “This was a great opportunity to encourage people to visit our home and develop better relationships within the community.
“It was uplifting to see visitors, staff, residents and their families all together enjoying the days events.”
