Hartford Court in Cramlington opened its doors to the community last month to showcase the services it provides.

And the home hosted a Big Sing event with a choir of residents, family members, colleagues and neighbours.

Hartford Court manager Blessing Giwa said: “We had so many visits from the local community that we had a full home all day, which was just wonderful to see.

“Thank you to everyone who came along, and a special thanks to the team here at Hartford Court.”

The HC-One home’s family sang You Are My Sunshine in unison with other residential care facilities across the country.

Frere Jacques joined the home for the sing and entertained guests with a selection of songs.

‘Hartford Court has Talent’ was held in the afternoon and was judged by three local councillors.

Care Home Open Day is an initiative aimed at homes across the UK to create links between residents and their communities.
