The role of Shared Lives foster carers in Northumberland is being celebrated.
Shared Lives Northumberland provides support in a family home for adults who are unable to live alone because of their age or disability.
Shared Lives carer Maureen Beal lives in Blyth with her partner, Steven Young. They share their home with 39-year-old Stuart from Shared Lives.
Maureen said: “Stuart has lived with us for six years and I absolutely think the world of him.
“I have never looked back, it’s the best thing I ever did.”
