Celebrating good rating

A popular county primary school is celebrating achieving a ‘good’ rating in their latest Ofsted report.

New Delaval Primary School in Blyth were visited by inspectors in December as as part of their programme of routinely inspecting schools.

And the results from the inspection have confirmed that New Delaval Primary is a good school in all areas.

The report says: “The headteacher, ably supported by the senior leaders, has carefully guided the school through a period of significant staffing changes and several long-term illnesses of staff to ensure that the quality of teaching and pupils’ achievement have continued to improve.”

Headteacher Deborah Worrall said: “This is a tremendous achievement for the school and we are thrilled to have this public recognition of all the good work that goes on at New Delaval Primary School.”
