The tables were turned at a Cramlington care home when nurses were looked after for the day.
Residents at Northlea Court organised an afternoon tea to say thank you to the staff who care for them.
They also presented gifts and cards, and spoke of the nurses’ patience, kindness and understanding.
The celebration was organised for International Nurses Day.
Home manager Sandra Smith said: “The nurses are a fantastic asset to the team here and I really don’t know what we’d do without them.
“This event was the least we could do to say thank you for all of their dedication and continued hard work.”
